The Bowie Crimp Disc is not like the lightweight crimpers. Crimp Discs made by Bowie are “Built-Strong…Built to Last” and are used to anchor straw and hay mulch into the soil. The vertical fibers, in rows six inches apart, form a fence that will protect the other mulch fibers from wind. Each vertical standing straw is available to carry moisture into the soil to aid in seed germination. This method is a fraction of the cost of other methods. In high wind areas, this method has proven to be the most effective.

Bowie Crimp Disc

The Bowie Crimp Disc is not like the lightweight crimpers. Crimp Discs made by Bowie are “Built-Strong…Built to Last” and are used to anchor straw and hay mulch into the soil. The vertical fibers, in rows six inches apart, form a fence that will protect the other mulch fibers from wind. Bowie Straw Blowers

Aero-Mulchers, commonly known as Straw Blowers, or Hay Blowers, mechanically shorten and quickly distribute baled hay and straw fibers via a high-speed airstream. The resulting blanket of fibers is often glued together with a sprayed-on tackifier on steep slopes, while rolling and flatter terrain can utilize the quicker and more effective tractor-drawn Bowie Crimp Disc. Blown and crimped (or tacked) hay and straw is a highly effective, low-cost BMP for controlling erosion and sedimentation by quickly establishing vegetation.

The Bowie MG-30 is the smallest of our manufactured Aero-Mulchers. We believe this straw blower to be the strongest of the small models in the industry. This unit is powered by a 25 hp Kohler engine. It has an electric starter with a full pressure lubrication oil cooler and a large dual element air cleaner for the toughest conditions. Our turret spins freely on ball bearings with grease fittings for easy maintenance. This machine comes standard with a vacuum port for those clean-up jobs. The Bowie MG-30 is designed forklift ready for easy loading. The turret is manufactured with enclosed ball bearings to give years of trouble-free operation along with ease of use. The beater chamber is large enough to break the bales of straw in an extremely short time. The beater chamber parts are hardened to give extra long life to your equipment.

The Bowie SG-50 is the intermediate workhorse of our manufactured Aero-Mulchers. This unit is powered by a 35 hp Wisconsin air cooled engine to give years of trouble-free service. The discharge gun has a full 360° horizontal rotation and the fan is dynamically balanced. The six (6) blade 23” fan will generate an airflow of 4500 CFM at a velocity in excess of 120 MPH. The feed tray is fully adjustable with a detachable extension. This unit comes as either a skid or trailer mounted.

Dynamic and Unlike the Rest

The Bowie Crimp Disc stands on its own in comparison to other crimpers. The primary function is to anchor straw and hay mulch into the soil, resulting in stable, covered ground. The problem with lightweight crimpers is that they don’t deliver accurate results. Sure, they place hay on the ground, but it doesn’t stay.

The Bowie Crimp Disc has vertical fibers in rows placed six inches apart that form a fence that will protect the other mulch fibers from wind. The vertical standing straws carry moisture into the soil and support seed germination. Say goodbye to asphalt emulsions and adhesives because our saw crimping equipment is more effective and cost-friendly! Aid vegetation on your land with the Bowie Crimp Disc and experience the best results.
